I was not born into a Christian home. However, God saved my mom when I was 4 years old, and He saved my dad when I was 5. I remember noticing a difference in my parent’s lives.

In 1978, when I was 6 six years old, on a Sunday morning during the preaching of God’s Word, God clearly showed me that I was a sinner and that Jesus died to pay for my sins. I was saved that morning, and I was baptized not long after.

In 1994, having recently graduated from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga with a degree in Political Science, I was making plans to attend law school. At the same time, the Lord was working in my heart about going into full-time ministry. On July 9, 1995, I surrendered to serve the Lord in whatever way He desired.

In 1996, I began attending Temple Baptist Seminary in Chattanooga, TN. I graduated in 1999 with a Master of Religious Education degree.

In 1998, I began serving as the youth pastor at Mile Straight Baptist Church. I later also served as the executive pastor until being sent out as a missionary.

In 2004, I began attending The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. I graduated in 2008 with a Doctor of Educational Ministry degree with a focus in church leadership.

In 2004, Mary and I were married. God blessed us with Isaac in March 2012. It is a joy to serve the Lord with Mary and Isaac!
